A RESTROSPECTIVE OF SLOVENE CINEMA (WITH EMPHASIS ON FILMS FROM THE 90'S
ON)
The
exhibition of promo posters from the year 1948 till today offers a brief, but
colourful insight into Slovene cinematography; from the first Slovene feature
fiction film, the first romantic comedies, World War II films, through
socialism, new wave cinema, teen films, road movies, outsiders, animation, porn
flicks, nostalgia, fatalism and naturalism, heroin and human trafficking, all
the way to the grave,
The films
have been selected according to various criteria, the first being, of course,
the availability of the posters. The next were the film's importance or
success, and last but not least, the poster itself. This criterion has been
especially employed with some of the older films up to 1980, when the visual
side of the promo posters was given quite more attention than perhaps today.

AWARD CEREMONY
At the
award ceremony the best films will receive their prizes. This year the Filofest
jury will award the best directing, the best
screenplay and the best performance. The award for best film will be presented
to the producer of the audience’s favourite. After the ceremony you will be
able to see the winning film and then join us for a glass of wine before going
to the Wrap Party.
